Are you planning a wedding on a budget?
Looking for a way to save yourself some money without looking cheap?
DIY wedding cake flowers!
We’ve got a great solution!
The average cost for a wedding cake in Sydney at the time of writing is around $700, with couples spending between $450 and $1000.
The cost varies considerably according to size, tiers, ingredients etc and whilst we don’t pretend to be wedding cake experts, we do know that the cost can be significantly higher due to the decorative aspects of the cake. And fair enough we say.
There’s a lot of time, energy and skill that goes into making those intricate sugar flowers, the fancy piping and when cake makers cross over into embellishing their cake with real flowers, they are often forced to pay high retail prices for the flowers from their local florist.
What if you could order the base model wedding cake? Basic creamy icing, plain and unadorned. You’d need to shop around and find yourself the best deal from your local baker, but you’d save hundreds of dollars by cutting the fancy embellishments.
“But my cake would be boring”
I hear you! We’ve designed a DIY kit that you can use to decorate any size and shape of cake, for any occasion.
The individual flowers are secured onto food safe toothpicks making it completely safe for you and your guests to still eat the cake after it has been decorated. No more sketchy materials being shoved into the cake (yes, we have some stories!)
The flowers are artificial so you can order them months in advance, meaning you can plan the lay out of the flowers ahead of time.
Satisfy your creative side and impress your friends and family by saying “I designed it myself”. But not to worry, if that sounds a bit much, we can give you step by step instructions on where to place your flowers.
The kits can be ordered on our website:
